Installation: Seeking the thread by Kyriaki

Kyriaki continuing the body of work related to Ariadne’s thread and the thread of life, develops an aspect of her work which she presented for the first time at the Seeking the thread exhibition at Nitra Gallery in December 2013.

The narrative of the little girls- trademark of the artist’s work, wandering in the woods following the red thread, becomes the springboard for Kyriaki to bring into focus the young protagonists and the impact of their strolling in the forest here in a metaphorical sense, has on a personal level.

Dark interiors, and the girl of the fairytale faced with the red thread and everything it stands for: the expectations, the future, life itself.
